2027 Calendar Photo Contest

The 2027 Calendar Photo Contest Is Open. Ready to Submit Your Photos?

  • You MUST be the photographer.
  • Please submit no more than five (5) photos. You will have to submit each photo separately, and fill out the form each time.
  • Only landscape orientation (horizontal) photos are eligible for consideration.
  • Please submit the highest resolution possible for your image(s) - preferably 300dpi for print at 9" x 12".

The contest will close on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time. Please allow 4–6 weeks after the contest closes for entries to be reviewed and for selected photographers to be notified. Only photographers whose photos are selected as finalists for inclusion in the calendar will be contacted.

Photographers whose photos are selected for inclusion in the 2027 Alpacka Calendar will receive a $150 gift card, redeemable toward a purchase from the Alpacka Raft website during the following calendar year. Selected photographers will also have their work featured in our annual calendar and receive recognition as part of the Alpacka Raft community.

Photo Submission Criteria

Photos must be horizontal (landscape) format and suitable for high-quality printing at 300 DPI. The calendar pages are 9" × 12", so please submit the highest-resolution version of your photo available.

If your photo is selected as a finalist, we may contact you to request a high-resolution file if one was not included with your submission. If a suitable high-resolution file is not available, the photo may not be eligible for inclusion in the calendar.

Prizes

Winner(s) will receive Winners will receive a $150 Gift Card good towards any one-time purchase during the following year, bragging rights, as well as highlights on our social media outlets to the greater packrafting community (plus a few calendars for you and your friends/family). Winners will be announced 4-6 weeks after the contest ends.

Judging

Alpacka Raft staff will review all eligible photo submissions and select the finalists. Approximately 14 photos will be selected for inclusion in the 2027 Alpacka Calendar, including the cover, 12 monthly images, and one additional image for a filler page.

Photos will be judged based on overall quality, composition, creativity, originality, and how well they capture the spirit of packrafting and the Alpacka Raft community. The judges’ decisions are final.

Finalists will be announced on the Alpacka Raft website and social media channels. Only photographers whose photos are selected as finalists will be contacted.

Consent for Use

By submitting your photo, you give Alpacka Raft permission to use it in the 2027 Alpacka Calendar and in Alpacka Raft marketing, including our website, print materials, and social media. You retain ownership of your photo and confirm that you have the right to share it with us.
